Petra is an ancient city, the capital of Idumea and later the capital of the Nabatean kingdom. It is located on the territory of modern Jordan, at an altitude of more than 900 m above sea level and 660 m above the surrounding area. The most famous landmark of Jordan is located 133 km from Aqaba and 262 km south of Amman. There is only one way to get to the city – through the narrow gorge of the Siq, which was once the bed of a mountain stream. Petra still belongs to the Bedouins, who cordially welcome guests to their land, manufacture and sell souvenirs, and offer tourists horse and camel rides.

Excursion program :

At night, the transfer picks up from the hotel in Sharm El Sheikh and takes you to the ferry crossing.
After passing the border with Jordan, you will take a bus to the ancient stone city of Petra.
In the Siq Gorge you walk through the mountain canyon, visit the colonnade and the amphitheater.
In the evening you will return to Sharm El Sheikh by bus.
